Whether we collect information from children under the age of 13 and a specific note to parents.top

DOUGHMAIN takes protection of children and their personal information very seriously. We strictly comply with the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. DOUGHMAIN will never knowingly request personally identifiable information or private content from anyone under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you register and create a DOUGHMAIN account, provided you are 18 years of age or older, you will be designated as Core Adult on the account. To do so, please contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@doughmain.com. However, if you do any of the foregoing, your child may not be able to use the DOUGHMAIN account or our Services.

As a Core Adult you will have the option to provide personal information about children under the age of 13 so that they may take maximum advantage of our products and services. If you do provide this personal information, I will be treated as we treat all personal information for users over the age of 13. We urge parents to instruct their children to never give out their real names, addresses, or phone numbers, without permission, when online. Teenagers under the age of 17 and over the age of 12 should encourage their parents to review this policy and to contact us if they would like to evoke our opt-out policy or to raise any concerns.

What tracking technologies are and how they may be used. top

Cookies are a feature of your Web browser that allows Web sites to transfer bits of information to your computer for record-keeping purposes. A cookie stored on your computer can be used to "remember" things like your password, or that you have already registered. This allows us to speed up your future activities, saving the time you would normally spend entering information such as your password or registration. For these purposes, your personally identifiable information is tied to some of our cookies. In addition, DOUGHMAIN may use cookies to retrieve user information for promotional, marketing or security purposes. We use a third-party tracking service that uses cookies to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our site in the aggregate to capture usage and volume statistics to improve our site. We have no access or control of third party tracking utilities.

Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)

Our third party advertising partner employs a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We tie [do not tie] the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.

We partner with a third party ad network to either display advertising on our Web site or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our ad network partner uses cookies and Web beacons to collect non-personally identifiable information about your activities on this and other Web sites to provide you targeted advertising based upon your interests. If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you targeted ads, you may opt-out by clicking here (Link to TRUSTe global opt-out: http://preferences.truste.com/). Please note this does not opt you out of being served advertising. You will continue to receive generic ads.

What are internet protocol addresses? top

An Internet protocol ("IP") address is the unique number assigned to your server or Internet Service Provider ("ISP"). DOUGHMAIN may track such IP addresses for system administration, to report aggregate information, site tracking, or to prevent our servers from being abused.

What to do if you want to correct, delete or review you or your child’s personal information. top

If for any reason you are concerned with the way we are using you or your child’s personal information, or would like to correct or request that we delete such personal information, please contact DOUGHMAIN, Attention: Privacy Policy Administrator, at DOUGHMAIN, 189 Wall St., Princeton, NJ 08540. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

DOUGHMAIN may post a notice on the DOUGHMAIN Web Site if a security breach occurs. If this happens, you will need a web browser enabling you to view the DOUGHMAIN Web Site. DOUGHMAIN may also send an email to you at the email address you have provided to us. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. To receive free written notice of a security breach (or to withdraw your consent from receiving electronic notice) you should notify us at privacy@doughmain.com. If your email address changes and you have provided DOUGHMAIN with personal information, you should notify DOUGHMAIN at privacy@doughmain.com so that we can communicate with you if necessary.
